The Aegean Sea, including the Turkish coast as well as the Greek islands, is one of the most beautiful and interesting sailing areas in the world, both in landscape and navigational terms as well as in culinary and cultural terms. One could accurately describe this region as the "cradle of European culture." Many ancient buildings and monuments from prehistoric times can be visited still today. Travel to Turkey continues to get easier with the exchange rate of the euro to the lira, high quality medical care and easy flight access from major European destinations. More and more sailors and tourists are choosing to spend their holidays on the Turkish Coast. Our bases are very close to airports with our Alacati base located 45 minutes from Cesme, our Turgutreis base also only 45 minutes away from Bodrum, Marmaris base only 1 hour away  from Dalaman Airport and also Göcek base only 25 minutes away from Dalaman Airpot.

The prevailing summer wind (Meltemi) ensures a pleasant climate in both the Greek islands and the bays along the Turkish coast and allows for longer sailing trips without many engine hours. This is guaranteed also by our well-equipped state-of-the art Bavaria charter- yachts which allow you quick, convenient and safe cruises.

In recent years the relations between Greece and Turkey have greatly improved. You will find that most port officials in Greece are very professional and friendly to yachts flying the Turkish flag which allows easy sailing travel between the Turkish coast and Greek Islands.

The entire sailing area offers endless sailing possibilities to both ambitious sailors as well as families with children . You can find many options outlined in our “Route Recommendations” or combine some of your favourite to create a custom adventure. Choose to depart from either our base in Cesme/Alacati, Bodrum/Turgutreis, Marmaris or Fethiye/Göcek and spend a week with sailing to the North and another to the South or a week on the Turkish coast following by a week in the Greek Islands. One way trips to Fethiye or to the Marmara Sea through the Dardanelles to Istanbul is also possible.

The navigation should not pose any problems like the capes, shoals and port entrances are well marked by beacons and tides are non existent.
